About Us

The PetDetective.nz service was founded in 2018.

The team share over 40 years lost pet experience between them. They back this real world experience with specialised lost pet training provided by MARN.

The Missing Animal Response Network (MARN) is a worldwide network of missing animal response specialists. The organisation was founded by Kat Albrecht, a former police bloodhound handler, crime scene investigator, search-and-rescue manager, and police-officer-turned-investigative pet detective.

Losing a pet is stressful and we appreciate you are keen to do everything you can to find your missing pet.

Lost Pet Help

Petdetective.nz offer a range of services to help you find your lost pet. The majority of services we offer are free. For our other one on one services there is a charge, but this will only be charged if a person wishes to pay it.

Pet Searching
Petdetective.nz does not provide a physical search service at this time. We do provide advice on preparing a search plan and on how to complete a physical search. We can also arrange tools you may need to track and capture missing pets.

Free Resources
Petdetective.nz is keen to help owners of missing pets by providing as many services as possible for free. We do not charge for access to our resources, or for providing online advice, or for providing links to other recognised lost pet resources.
