Halo and Halo+ Microchip Readers
Introduction
The Halo Microchip Scanner is a cost effective chip reader with a unique design to maximise readability. The entire outer edge is the scanning area so that a large scanning area is covered in one go. This ergonomically designed unit is small, lightweight. robust and not intrusive for the animal when being scanned
Every unit is Scanner Angel® enabled, allowing the scanner to have automatic recognition of missing animals. Animal Register Limited's unique Scanner Angel Plus® service will be able to access over 2.4 million unique chip records and provide instant reporting on over 20 million halo scans.
The Halo reader recognises all FDX-B 15 digit and FDX-A 10 digit microchips and EM4102 chips. It also reads thermo chips and will display the temperature from the temperature measuring BioTherm microchips.
Halo readers are available in a wide range of colours, with custom colours and print available for larger orders.
Halo and Scanner Angel
The Halo scanner can identify a pet that is lost or stolen immediately as it is scanned. Each time the Halo is recharged via a computer it uses Scanner Angel to download a list of microchip numbers of lost or stolen pets from participating databases through the Halo application.
When a pet is scanned its microchip number is compared against the tens of thousands of microchip numbers of lost or stolen pets that have been downloaded to its internal memory in a trice. If there’s a match the operator is alerted that the pet they just scanned is lost or stolen.
Halo Microchip Reader
The standard reader is a cost effective tool suitable for anyone needing to read compitible rfid coding. Ideally suited for clinics and rescues, it is also suitable for breeders and farmers.
Halo+ Bluetooth Chip Reader
The bluetooth enabled Halo+ allows the reader to be paired with mobile devices. This can allow an animal to be scanned and the owner details to be shown immediately on the phone. This is ideal for any situation where computer access is restricted.
